The army was abolished over 60 years ago and the incumbent President has won a Nobel Peace prize for his work in establishing peace in the region. Our Guanacaste area offers some of the most beautiful, diverse and stunning natural beauty in the whole country. We have over 7 national parks situated here with hundreds of beaches, volcanoes ,rivers and dry and wet rainforest too enjoy. In addition Guanacaste offers some of the worlds best deep sea fishing anywhere on earth. The Melia Resort five minutes from Flamingo host a beautiful Robert Trent Jones designed course and the Four Seasons Arnold Palmer course is said to be one of the top 50 in the world. Many pros and celebrities have given it rave reviews and compare it too the famed Pebble Beach course. The only other beach resort golf course in the country is four hours away at the Los Suenos Marriot resort. After that the only other golfing in the country is fours away in the capital of San Jose.
